There are so many misconceptions about working with Advocare! I’m writing this blog to address a few, as well as give you some more information if you’re interested in joining my team.

How much does it cost?
The signup fee is $59. When you sign up, you get your very own customizable Advocare website (link) that Advocare automatically updates with new products and promotions. Once you pay your $59 distributor fee, you immediately have a 20% discount that you can use for a whole year.

What do I get for signing up?
When you sign up for $59, Advocare sends you a distributor kit to help get you familiar with the products and business you’re now a part of! Here’s a picture of my boyfriend’s distributor kit that he received recently. This is what it looked like before we unboxed it! There’s a blender bottle, 4 meal replacement shakes (2 flavors), 6 servings of rehydrate (3 flavors), and 8 servings of Spark (4 flavors). Advocare includes so many products in your startup kit because they want you to be able to suggest products and flavors based on what works for you! Advocare is all about sharing your experience with their products, not selling.

The welcome kit also includes a welcome guide, a copy of Advocare’s IMPACT Magazine, a set of retail sales receipts, and the latest Policies, Procedures, and Compensation Plan.

What are the rules of working for Advocare?
There are no rules requiring posting on social media, making calls, or promoting Advocare publicly. You can literally sign up and just take advantage of the 20% discount all by yourself.

What are the advantages of being a distributor?
As a distributor, you have the opportunity for unlimited earning, in addition to the discount you receive.

How does my discount work?

How do I get paid?
There are initially 3 ways to get paid in Advocare.
#1 – Selling full price products to your friends/family in person.
You buy a box of Spark. Your friend wants to buy it. You sell it to them for the full price, making your money back and then some.
#2 – Selling product from your Advocare site
Your friend goes to your Advocare site and orders a box of Spark. You will make a % of that sale.
If you’re at the 20% level, you’ll make 20%.
If you’re at the 30% level, you’ll earn 30%.
If you’re at the 40% level, you’ll earn 40%. That’s where it tops out!
#3 – Earning override on the distributors underneath you
Let’s say that your friend wants to sign up. They sign up at 20% and you’re at 30%. They buy a box of Spark at 20%. You make the remaining 10% of that sale.

Why Advocare?
Advocare doesn’t charge you a monthly fee. Advocare doesn’t require that you make posts and share the products or business opportunity. Advocare doesn’t require that you recruit people “under you”. Advocare doesn’t require that you hold your membership year after year. Advocare doesn’t require that you sign up for autoship, autorenew, or a 3-month “loyalty” period.

What does that mean to you? For most of you, probably not a whole hell of a lot. Some of you aren’t familiar with Advocare; the rest of you probably don’t care. But right now I’m going to take a second to explain to you what I do and why I choose to work with Advocare.

There are three steps to changing your life, and I mean any element of your life. Step 1: Make a conscious decision to change an element of your life. Step 2: Arm yourself with what you need to make that change. Step 3: Follow through and see the change. You cannot have success without taking ALL THREE steps!

For example: Think of a high school graduate, who wants to change his employability. The student 1) decides to go to college 2) buys a laptop, calculator, books, notepads, etc. 3) goes to class and studies. Eventually that graduate earns his degree because he *fully* committed to making a change!

Take the same example and remove step 2. The student 1) decides to go to college and 3) goes to class and studies, but he doesn’t have a laptop or any of the other necessary supplies to work outside of class. This means that the student can’t take notes during lecture, can’t write his papers on his time (because he has to use the library computers, with set availability times), he can’t contribute to group projects, heck he can’t even do the math in his math course because he doesn’t have a graphing calculator! How long do you think that student would last at University? Do you think that student would eventually receive a degree?

In that example, it’s pretty likely that the student would have to drop out of University and would not achieve his goal of being more employable. Not having the right tools and materials would make all the difference in his success. It’s the same way when you decide to make a change with your health.

Step 1 would be to decide in your head that you are unhappy and willing to do whatever it takes to change your body. Step 2 would be to buy workout pants, headphones, maybe a Fitbit, and supplements. Step 3 would be to go to the gym and make better eating choices.

I know it sounds simple, but there’s a ton of people who don’t fully commit to all 3 steps of making a lifestyle change. Sometimes they aren’t aware that they haven’t committed, sometimes it’s a conscious choice. Whatever the situation, you cannot have long-term success without committing to all three steps!

Imagine that you go out and buy supplements and a gym membership without committing in your mind and doing research (Step 1). You might not buy the right supplements, you might buy too strong supplements; you might get to the gym and not know what equipment to use and end up using it incorrectly or ineffectively. Wrong supplements = internal damage, incorrect usage = external injury! Your good intentions have now caused damage to your body and WILL stand in the way of you and your health goals.

“But Chaney, what does all this have to do with Advocare?”

Advocare is that Step 2. In closing – I’d like to issue a call to action. If you are unhappy with your body and want to make a change, LET ME HELP YOU! I have been where you are. I’ve tried the “other” products. I’ve tried every diet, fast, and system out there; and I have failed. But as the saying goes, “Fall down 7 times, stand up 8.” My 8th and final stand was choosing to allow Advocare into my life, and after losing 85 pounds I can’t help but be overwhelmed when I think back on that decision.
